![]() ![]() I was under the impression that 3.0 was backwards compatible so I don't know if this could possibly be the cause of the issue. Could it be a case of USB 2.0 vs 3.0 compatibility issues? The iMac is an older model so perhaps it's running 2.0. For the first time, PC users running Windows 10 with the appropriate Thunderbolt 3. We're excited to announce Windows 10 driver software for all interfaces in the Focusrite Red range of Thunderbolt, Pro Tools HD and Dante interfaces. ![]() I followed the setup guide video focusrite has on their website and I don't see what's causing this issue. New drivers make Red range interfaces compatible with Windows 10 computers for the first time. I'm baffled because it seems that the usb cable, the usb port on my Macbook, and my 2i2, all function properly: just not in unison. So then I thought the cable was the issue I determined that this was probably not the case when I plugged in my focusrite into an iMac for the first time ever without downloading any setup software and the connection light turned on. I tested the usb port using another cable and my phone, and it charged my phone fine. When I plug in my Scarlett 2i2 to my 2015 MacBook via the included a to b USB 2.0 cable the little usb connector light in the front does not turn on like it's supposed to. If the problem ever pops up in the future I will look into the other suggestions. EDIT: Credit goes to /u/aarmea for providing what is at the very least a semi-permanent solution. ![]()
